Bishop C. L. Dees Sr.

Eyewitnesses

A person(s) who has personally seen something happen and so can give a first-hand description of it:k

I am a former member of Christian World Center. Having moved to the Chicago area in April 1986 after over 6 years living in Houston and Harris County, I eventually ended up in Erie, PA on December 7th, 1988.

Before I left Pastor Dees warned me of spiritual and worldly trouble ahead which came true… I am still holy ghost filled since November 22nd, 1981. And though presently wheelchair-bound from a tumor inside my spinal cord that the Pittsburgh, PA veterans’ hospital removed after double seven and one-half hour surgeries 01-23-2003 & 02-04-2003 which confined to the chair, I still praise God forever! We go through trials and tribulations and persecutions for Jesus’ namesake, but enduring to the end, we come out the other side stronger and victorious in Jesus! Praise God!! Consequently, I shall never forget the love of God the Dees family and the CWC congregation gave me! The past few years have been medically tough with pressure ulcers and sores. I remember that Pastor Dees built with God’s love! Today is March 5th, 2019, May God bless the Dees family and all of you as your influence has kept me still with God! Sincerely and with God’s love, I remain your brother in Christ Jesus! Amen and Amen!

Because of you, I am. You taught me about God’s love, which was a mystery to me when I came to stay with you and Sis. Dees. I love and respect you both. I will never forget your kindness to me and my family through the years. You are a gentleman, scholar, and a prime example of what we are all striving for. I will always love you and your family.

We will miss Bro. Dees. His eloquent speech, regal posture, progressive mindset, warmth, love, and concern for all were a matchless blend. The added talents and capabilities of Sis. Dees created a dynamic partnership that was second to none. What a treasure! My fondest memories of these dear friends of my parents, center around visits to Irvington for extraordinary events and the grand splendor and warm spirit we experienced there. We love and honor this great man and are praying for Sis. Dees and the entire family.

Sister Dees,
The last time I saw you and Brother Dees was at my mother’s funeral service. You will remember her as Garvis Nell Brashear. As with every time I saw you, Bro. Dees and you greeted me with those big smiles and warm hugs. I remember attending the church in Cleveland with Grandmother Brashear and sitting in the back of the church with your son Corlis II. I was about 10 years old. Although that has been almost 50 years ago, I have never forgotten Bro. Dees’ messages about treating others your absolute best and using the talents that God has given you to their fullest. God Bless you. My prayers are with you and your family.

Where would my family be without the ministry of Bro. Dees? We came to Irvington without any knowledge of the Holy Ghost and Jesus Name. May God Bless the family with comfort and love. Thank you for the legacy, Bro. Dees! Rest in your reward.

Brother Dees was a gentleman, a scholar, a preacher. He was a breath of sunshine in a murky world. It was my pleasure to have known this wonderful man. My family sends it condolences out to Sister Dees and the rest of the Dees family. May God bless you in your time of sorrow.

Sister Dees,

“O, How I Love Him!” rings in my heart as I remember Bro. Dees leading us in worship. I loved/love you and Bro. Dees so much!!! Never does a day goes by without a verbal or mental reminder of his ministry in my life. I absolutely loved having you as my Pastor. He always said the first step in regressing is lack of gratitude. Well, I am grateful. There never seemed  be a way to show you my heartfelt gratitude. So, I will just say “I love you”! I am so sorry to have missed the funeral service. When I arrived at our Church tonight I was told that Bro. Dees is “present with the Lord”.

Words fail me to express the way that I feel about my first pastor. The 5 years that I was privileged to be under his ministry are the most valuable ones and I will always cherish them. He will be greatly missed but will be in our thoughts always. God Bless you Bro. Dees as you join the great cloud of witnesses to cheer us on to the end.

Sis. Dees, I love you and admire you and if you ever need me, I am here. 281-580-2252
